a quick hello from a Newbie just starting the long process of getting a GSM175 visa

Hello all,

I thought I would take the plunge and introduce myself after reading so many useful posts on this lovely forum.

Me and my hubby are just starting the process of emigrating to Perth and wow, there is soo much to do and think about. My hubby is a software developer so we are applying for a GSM 175 visa so we can have as much flexability in Oz when we arrive. We are just collating everything we need for his skills assessment with the ACS and hope to submit this as soon as possible, hopefully not longer than a couple of weeks. Then it is a 3 month wait for it to be approved. When this has been completed we can then apply for the visa and start the long wait to be allocated a Case Officer.

We are really excited about the move, I have been to Australia 3 times now but only to the east coast. Perth just seems to have everything that we are looking for.

We have 2 young boys aged 3 and 16 months and think it is the right time to make the move with them before they get too settled over here.

I will look forward to getting to know you all and share stories and even meet up when we finally make it over there.

Hi Sandy_pie, welcome to the forum, I'm on the east coast, so can't help with any west coast questions, but I'm sure the members will be on hand to answer any queries you mights have. Good luck with the visa application, I went the GSM 175 /ACS skills assessment route myself.
