Welcome to Perth!... Xx

....i was amazed of how small the flower markets are here?!.... and intrigued at how such small amounts can provide all the florists of Perth?!!...... I have a lot to learn here but am ready for the challenge!....... i have decided not to do the Spring fair next month, just because we have so much going on at home at the moment, i want to be able to give it 100% and i feel i can't do that at this moment in time!...... But the plans are for a shop, and the timeframe is within 6months!... When do plan to arrive here?... Would be good to get together! I haven't met any fellow florists yet!!!! Oh and i may need you to bring supplies?!!!!!!!!!! Sundries seem more expensive here too?!!!!! Xx

Nothing like drinking a cuppa out of your usual mug!.... We have been in a rental for the last 8 months, we have most of our boxes still in the garage....hoping to move into our 'own' house in December and i can't tell you how excited i am to get those boxes open!!... We won't need Santa to come!!!

It does get easier!.... Honest!.... I remember when the packers came in to our home, we had stayed up the night before until 4am...still sorting!! And then We were cleaning the shed stuff as they were packing it!.. Oops! But all cleared customs ok!!!!! It's a good time to be ruthless and get rid of stuff that you haven't used in years!!... Little tip though, don't underestimate things! the day our kitchen utensils turned up was the best day!.... Personally, if i had to do it again, i would pack everything!!! Good luck!!

Currently 'living the dream'.... Scrubbing other peoples loos!! That said, it works well around the kids school, ok money and it'sa good workout!..... But i'm a Florist by trade, with plans to open my own shop SOR in the next 6 months, so exciting times ahead!

Sorry for the ridiculously late reply!... I thought i'd just keep you updated on my very slow but positive progress!..... I am currently trying to brand myself and come up with a name for my own Florist business, in time to launch at the Secret Harbour Spring fair next month! It's very early days but as you can probably imagine, i am so excited! This weekend myself and two friends are going to Leederville to check out the flower markets there and then after into the city to check out the 'top dogs' of the Floristry industry in Perth!..... i feel like a kid waiting to visit a chocolate factory!!!! I have plenty of ideas but i do wonder how SOR will respond to them?!!! Like you, we too had a Dutchman come over once a week.... I was also lucky enough to go and visit the Aalsmeer Flower auction a few years ago.... That seems like a world away from here in Oz, but i love Dutch design and this is something i want to involve in my own work! Sorry if I'm gabbling on.....just thought i would share!!!! Keep in touch..... Oh and i haven't heard of the Crabfest in Rockingham?! Sounds cool though!!!! Amy

Hi SueBotham, Try Dr Gary huang...he has a few different offices but we see him at the one on St Georges Terrace in The city. His contact number is 1300 1 67846 .... He was the only orthodontist that i could find to take on my daughters care, he seems to go by the bracket size and not the 'type' definitely worth a try! Also, i consider his fees reasonable too....very happy indeed Good luck! Amy x
