Whats your accounting background and how did you manage to secure a job? You seem to secure jobs very quickly. In a span of less than 2 months job hunting with no local experience you are able to get a contractual position and now a permanent project accounting role. I also have arrived in Sep 2013 but still have no luck to date. I have years experience in external audit in NYC with a US CPA. I applied for company accountant positions but they told me my background is in external audit. I applied for public practice firms but they told me I have no local and tax experience. I applied to bookkeeper/clerical positions but I was told I am overqualified. WTF!!!! There is an oversupply of accountants in OZ as of the moment. It should have been taken out of the SOL.
