  1. Hi, I came across this post whilst searching for welder jobs with 457 sponsorship. Do you know of anybody that is looking for welders now, can start within the next 6 months and have relevant qualifications, from the UK, thanks Damian
  2. Hi thanks for the advice, I would be aiming to work as an early childhood teacher in early years setting. I am still not 100% as to whether I should apply for the Early Childhood Education degree which covers 0-8 years instead of early years and primary. I was told about the 2 yr post graduate visa from a student advice company called Study Options, they told me it would be automatic. This is all new to me so any advice is appreciated. we do also have he option of my partner getting a 457 as he's a qualified mechanic but hasn't worked as a mechanic for some years so would need to gain recent work experience then of course get offered a 457, its so stressful!!!!
  3. Thanks for your advice. I really don't see how it is different than anyone else applying for pr visa if I have got the qualification and then worked for at least 18months to gain work experience. Why is it that it is not the same, if I am doing as promised, paying for the course and bringing a lot of money to fully support myself and family Kate
  4. Hi, I am currently in the process of putting my application together for a student visa, studying Early Childhood and Education at Murdoch. I bet you were very happy to get your place on the course. I'm not sure if your aware but after your degree you automatically get a 2 year graduate work visa which will allow you to get the experience you need to apply for a permanent visa, as long as your job is on the list. Good luck selling your house, we are trying to sell ours too, its a nightmare! Kate

    Hello

That's great, bet you were so happy to get that! I'm applying for Early Childhood and primary education, just hope I get on. I have a child care diploma and GCSEs so hope so
  6. Yes we will have to pay $5000 in Perth. I would prefer to go on my student visa as this gives us 6 years, including the post study visa. If my partner gets a 457 then they sponsor him for pr we will transfer to that. I am going for Early childhood and primary education, I work in a special school now and have lots of experience in nursery education too. We can't wait to call Aus home just seems to be lots of hurdles, we won't give up though

    Hello

Hello, thanks for the welcome! Debs we are just in the process of putting my application together for a 573 student visa although I can't find my certificates so have to wait 4 wks for them. We are hoping to arrive in Perth, Fremantle, in December. How about you? kate
  8. Hi, thats great news, do you have a link to anywhere it says this, to show our visa agent. I realised I put 40 per week, I meant fortnight lol. He is a qualified Mechanic but hasn't done it for 12 years and currently works as a Mechanical Engineering Technician but isn't qualified. Both jobs are on SOL but he hasn't got both qualifications AND experience for either of them them. We are hoping he can gain part time experience as a mechanic on my 573 and then get a 457. Its all ifs and buts at the minute but fingers crossed we'll get there. We just want to be in Aus!!!! thanks for your help Kate
  9. Hi everyone, I would really appreciate any advice as we cant seem to find any, not even from our agent. I am currently in the process of applying for a 573 student visa, taking my partner and son with me on it. We know that my partner can only work 40 hours per week on my visa but we want to know if he can get his own 457 visa when we get to Perth and then work full time? can he do this or will it go against the rules of my student visa. Any advice will help Thanks Kate x
