  1. Hope the wait isn't too long for you. Do you know if the amount of points you have make a difference in how long you have to wait for an invite? hopefully will submit ours in December
  2. could you consider paying towards the cost of your families flights to you in Perth
  3. Hi my husbands occupation (heavy goods diesel motor mechanic) was removed from the csol . I assume we can no longer apply for a 190. Do we now apply for a 189? thanks
  4. Reading these posts I am so confused ha! I will now be looking into this for future reference when hopefully we move over
  5. Hi will I be able to find a job in Care with care assistants experience in a residential nursing home and Will my NVQ qualifications be recognised ?
  6. Hi, My hubby did his on Saturday and they give you the booklet to fill in whilst the test is going and answer the questions, basically you fill in the blanks. then in the final 10 minutes you transfer your answers from the booklet to the answer sheet. There are 40 questions & he said it is defiantly worth filling in the booklet before transferring to the answer sheet. Good luck
  7. Hi Jo yes we are also trying to get the 189 . how far back do they require you to go for p60s and work references? Hubby has been at his current work place for 12 years , and a previous employment for 5years where he had done his apprenticeship . Is there any other information they require. is there a time limit on getting it together once you have paid and registered for the assessment ? do you do a practical and an interview. sorry for all the questions ....
  8. thanks for your replies. yes i was hoping I could help him some how. I think I will let him focus on the IELTS and in the mean time check out the website and other peoples experiences. Thanks again for your help
  9. Hi my husbands Ielts are booked for 20Th September. He said he wont look into Vetasess until after. but I'm impatient and wondered if it would be possible to start the skills assessment process now. ? how long does it take to do. can you book the practical when it suits you or do they give you a date you need to do it? is there a lot of work involved for the assessment? it is for a HGV diesel motor mechanic . thanks
  10. Good point Akasully, if it did go wrong or change your mind atleast the school place would be covered. Maybe ring the school you would enrol her at to explain your sitution and they might be able to offer you advice x
  11. Hi you don't have to enrol her in the UK . people who chose to home school would not. if you do enrol her and you decide she isn't going to go then you will have to deal with an education officer.(not sure how complicated that would get and with fines etc for not attending it might be problimatic) so if you know when your going and its just a couple of weeks of school maybe don't enrol her at all
