  11. Hi portlaunay, I completely understand your figures, but if i'm bringing a household with me anyway why not just stuff the car in too, the £3500 to bring it here I think is a pill i will have to swallow either way, still getting quotes for containers of all sizes, i'll see how it pans out with costs
  12. Druid, thanks for the heads up. I will check those online valuations. That is a relief regarding the air con, I keep trying Iron lady but there website is down/in process of moving, has been for a few days I will def lose money selling the car, def don't want a car with a million miles on it, I am going to take the car, and will detail my experience on here for other to make an informed decision. Most of my research was thanks to your posts Druid, so thank you for that.
  13. Brilliant thread guys, thanks for all the advice. Any suggestions for short term rentals, finding them etc... reputable, searching for them etc...
  14. Thanks Saffanzimbo, unfortunately that's exactly what i've found looking at oz ebay and gumtree some real tin cans out there for high prices, just as an example my brother in law just purchased a 2007 hyundai elantra 2.0 petrol auto with over 90000 miles. It sounds nice but from my experience about 90k + is when clutch, brakes, timing, water pump and things require attention, not sure after just moving there it's a hit I want to take, my car only has 60000 on the clock and touch wood seems to be ticking over nicely, no advisories from last 3 mot's, still toying with taking it over, not sure i'll have time to look for a car, with researching area's, schools for kids, property to rent, looking for a job etc...
  15. Thanks for all your help people! I just needed to hear from people to show me the light, I read on forums for a decent car you will need to look between $5000 - $15000 for something decent? possibly with high mileage That's why i'm contemplating on taking my own known working vehicle
