  1. ,aawwww really sorry, this is the only sat I have free before the parents arrive in 2 weeks time, so got lots to do! Then we're off to UK for Xmas and new year. I'll keep an eye out for other meet ups arranged. Sunday's are better for us though
  2. Sorry but we're not going to be able to make it on the Saturday
  3. Spud shed do cheap fruit trees and vegies. If your putting a lemon tree in a pot get either Eureka or Lots of Lemons as these do best in pots.
  4. Here are mine in their pots the one in the green pot is a dwarf lemon, then a dwarf lime and the square pot is blueberry. All the others are in really large pots.
  5. I bought a dwarf lemon tree 2 years ago and had 3 lemons off it a couple of months ago. I'm in a rental and have 2 lemon trees, 1 x mandarin tree, 1 x orange tree, 1 x blueberry tree and a lime tree all in pots and they all do well.
  6. We are down in San Remo, so not too far away, my daughter gets bored too as our friends kids are too young for her now. We can make either date at the moment for the meet up

    Burglaries

I always make sure I lock up at night but I won't lock windows with a key and dead bolt things as I want to know I can always get out in the event of a fire, I work in aged care and a lot of my clients are obviously security conscious but I do wonder how most would escape if they ever needed to.
  8. Think I'll come along too! Me and my husband are in our 30's and have a 13year old daughter. Would be nice to meet people with kids same age as ours! Everyone we know has younger ones
  9. I love doing up old furniture too, gumtree is your best bet.....I've got quite a few retro pieces waiting to be done up. I've picked up all sorts, just gotta be quick & check it a million times a day. Also try the larger op shops, I got a retro coffee table from salvos for $4. Bargain.
  10. I had a similar situation, they forgot to put in the lease about cleaning the carpets at the end of the tenancy, therefore we didn't have to and we had a pet. If it's not in the lease don't do it.
  11. You can only break lease with the owners consent. If the owner says no then it's a no. We broke lease with 4 weeks left but said we would only move if they found a new tenant, new tenant was found but the agent didn't get the new tenants to sign a lease and they backed out on move day! The agent tried to get us to pay the remaining 4 weeks rent but as we had it all in writing we ended up taking them to court over it (they settled out of court in the end) but if you do get consent just make sure all boxes are ticked, so to speak to save grey area hassles.
  12. It's not all bad re the picture hooks, I'm in my 4th rental and 2 of the houses have more hooks than I have pictures for and the other two were totally fine about us putting screws in the wall for pictures, we got permission and left them in for the next tenants. I've had permission to paint my daughters room too.
  13. Totally agree, we stood our ground over a break lease issue and took them to court, they settled out of court in the end but they treated us as if we didnt know our stuff.
  14. I'm moving on Monday, doing my own vacate clean, always have done. Getting carpets cleaned professionally and having it fumigated. I wouldn't pay anyone to do a vacate clean.
