  1. My husband is a Cnc machinist there in the uk and we have our visa's granted and are planning to come over in march 2014. I am worried about the jib situation in Perth as I have read many posts and people are saying that work is quiet and there isn't as many jobs as there used to be. Is there any cnc machinists who can maybe let us know what the situation is and if there are many jobs and how much you can hope to earn? i also work part time in admin for the NHS and am looking to stay in healthcare, is there much work out there if any one could help that would most helpful.
  2. Hi Corrine14470, Can you let offer advice or help on what websites etc you are looking on, i am also a metal machinist looking to come out in Jan2013 would be a bonus if i could secure employment before we came or at least get some interviews line up Cheers Gareth
  3. Hi all, I currently work for the NHS in the uk. I work in dept that provides reablement, rehab, admission avoidance and end of life care for people out in the community. My job is office based and I am triage all referrals that come into the service and make sure that they meet the criteria. I liaise with gp's, o/t's, physio's, care co-ordinators on a regular basis. My actual job title is a single access point co-ordinator. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was similar positions in Perth within the medical sector and how much I could expect to earn? Many thanks Jo
  4. Hello, Just wanted to pick your brains as we are moving to Perth in Jan 2013 and my husband is also a toolmaker / metal machinist. We came out in oct to do a reccie and their did seem to be plenty of jobs, can I ask how he managed to get job offers before you got there? That would be an ideal situation for us but we have been told that in that line of work they don't really take you seriously until you are in the country. Any help/advice would be great. Thanks Jo
