    hi rob.. im also a sparky having recently moved over on a 189. living north of the CBD and i will say as an unlicensed sparky getting a foot in the door is really really hard at the moment. even for licensed sparkies times are tough finding work, aslong as your prepped financially for a slow start in licensing and costly courses youll get by.. as always its generally who you know. all the best liam

    Usually people wait for the CO to ask for it because it gives them around a year to make the move . The earlier either one is done the clock begins on when you have to enter the country. It's totally up to you when you apply

    Congrats .I remember scoring the superior after 4 attempts and was more of a relief than getting through the theory and practical electrical skills assessment I had to do. Keep plodding on your not far off :-)

    Hey. As we were heading to New Zealand we done our Medicals and police checks in the uk in February. Well we kept a close look at immitracker and a lot of people were getting visa grants within a month, we were told we should expect to wait 4-6 weeks also before any contact. We didn't have any CO contact so that helped the turnaround. We are hoping to find somewhere around Scarborough or abit further up. Where are you planning on settling? Thanks. Liam

    Hi. We have just recieved our 189 grant. We put the EOI in on the 26th June. PCC and Medicals all uploaded,Recieved a same day invite and received our grant yesterday. 28 days from lodging EOI to grant, we are currently in Christchurch on a working holiday and officially moving over to Perth in September.. Hope all goes well. Liam
