  1. After successfully organized for the first time in 2015 and attracted around 8000 visitors, the biggest Indonesian cultural event, KREASI Indonesia will return to Perth in 2016. KREASI Indonesia 2016 will be organized by Indonesian Diaspora Network Western Australia (IDN-WA) and all Indonesian Communities Groups in Western Australia on 13 of August 2016 at Curtin Stadium from 11.00 AM to 07.00 PM The month of August is the right time for this event since all the Indonesian people around the world celebrating the Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, which this year on 17 of August, it will turn into the 71th anniversary. KREASI is an abbreviation of Kuliner means Culinary, Etnik means Ethnicity, and Seni means Arts. This year event is held with the theme of “Indonesia in Diversity”. KREASI Indonesia is aimed to promote the diversity and richness of Indonesian culture and tourism potential. This event is hoped can contribute to the effort to strengthen bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Australia and build stronger connection among the people of the two nations. As reflected in its name and this year theme, KREASI Indonesia 2016 will present to the public in Western Australia a great variety of cultural activities by Indonesian communities in Western Australia. Around 200 talented dancers and singers will present traditional musical performances as well as traditional dances and songs from different parts of Indonesia and other fun filled activities for kids to enjoy. During the event, there will be food stalls where visitors can enrich their knowledge about Indonesian diverse culinary. In addition to that, there will be stalls promoting Indonesian traditional clothes, musical instruments, Indonesian traditional houses miniature, products and handicraft such as batik.
