I used to watch the show in the Uk and like it, but having lived in Oz already knew it was not balanced. I think a lot of people get it wrong with : i am going to live there : when they should be thinking, right, find a job and then choose where to live so poor husband does not have a 4 hour commute to where his work is etc

Update, happy Pom still employed, foreman has let and started his own business doing classic cars. Looking for someone who has worked on euro cars for a senior role in Busselton. Lovely spot and I love living here. Small family buisness doing general service but a lot of VW Audi and older Bmw cars to be looked after.

Hi there, compared to Alice springs where we used to live not really any dodgy places, few high fences etc. We live near the beach in Geopgraphe area of Busso and really like it, There are some large new estates on the outskirts, All the local schools are well or very well rated so should be no problems there. Hi there, Poms ! I am after EOI for a mot tester and mechanic to work down south in Buselton at an indpendent VW and Bmw workshop. Some vehicle examination or MOT experience would be great. Uk flight arrives far end of the terminal and the oz bound ones leave from the other end, its a mile walk anyway so shops and burger king on the way -).

Hi , I think you maybe narrowing the field a bit, job first location second. Lots of larger venues and and conference centres, large wineries and concert venues outside of Perth and maybe able to go for a regional visa. You can wherever you want after a couple of years.

Hi, can only talk about the Bunbury area. Those sort of jobs are there for Alcoa/harbour/Bhp and Cable Sands and Cristel mining in the the South. But the staff turnover here is low so well qualified with good history would defo be worth applying. Not many unskilled jobs apart from the summer tourist trade type ones.

We have been here a year or so after moving from Alice springs and like it a lot. I wouldnt get hung up where to move to, do a short term rental and then choose after you have been here a while. Good luck.

Hi there, I would advise that job comes first, then look for somewhere to live, you can always move after six months. Southwest is a great place, skilled jobs are in demand still, but little unskilled work around. Good luck.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. Have been of work with a bug. I was a backpacker in the 90s and travelled and stayed in the area. I personally like Bunbury and Busselton a lot. It is 2 hours south of pert, there is a new dual carriageway right to the city. Workwise if you have skills there are plenty of jobs around. Lots of good beaches, schools and a lot of shops for the size of the town. Good luck if you choose to move.

Hi there, we had no trouble, but does depend on the agent, most just couldn`t be botthered to arrange viewings. We were looking to move to the noorth of town and found a small friendly agent, Dad reality in Australind, offered to show us 3 or 4 houses straight away. Plenty of cabin type accomodation around. took us 5 days from hitting town to moving into our house. Good luck.
