I've been here for a month and have applied over 60 office admin jobs so far from permanent to casual. Although I've received responses from numerous companies and recruitment agencies saying I have the skills but just wasn't selected this time and that I should continue to apply for other positions or they will keep me in their database.
Is this because I do not have any local experience?
Would getting my resume redone help?
Would getting a casual job as (a cashier or kitchen helper) help as a stepping stone to get into the skilled workforce?
I have a temporary visa which does not entitle me for Medicare. I have just arrived in Perth 2 weeks ago and someone told e that it is compulsory to get private insurance and that I have a certain period of time to apply for one before I am fined. If this is true, how long do I have before I am fined?
Appreciate the feedback Ross and you're right. It seems that in the event of an accident, suppliers will charge a maximum damage excess fee of between $3000 and $5500, depending on the car and the supplier.
I got on live chat with vroomvroom.com.au it would be about $5000+ over 6 months with basic insurance and unlimited mileage. Think I'll do it your way... rent for 2 weeks and get a cheap one. Thanks Mad Cow.
Hi all, I am migrating to Perth in April 2013 and was considering renting a car (for the initial 6 months anyway) until I settle on a job and location. But would renting a car long term be better than buying one?
