    Snake!

Saw this yesterday while out walking the dog. Luckily it was dead otherwise would'nt of got so close. It smelt awful so had probably been dead a while. Not sure what it was.. maybe a dugite as it was dark brown. Also saw another snake last week. Again, not sure what it was but after googling it, I think it was a black tiger snake. That one was very much alive and could'nt get close enough to get a picture.
  2. We're off to the zoo too. Lucky you. Our cocker fly's from Sydney to perth on the 31st.(3 weeks today). I'm so excited. Can't wait to see him. Not seen him since the end of march when I left the uk and I feels like forever. We all miss him so much. How were your two when they arrived?
  3. Hi all. I'm hoping some of you would be able to give me your thoughts and opinions on living in Yanchep. We've been looking to build there for a while now but would love to know of anyone who is already there and what it's like. We know its quite far north but that doesn't effect commute times as my husband is based on the road and can live anywhere. We visit most weekends and love the feel of the place. We have two kiddies, 13 and 8 so would also like any info on Yanchep district high as that's where they would probably go. Haven't looked around it yet but planning to make an appointment when they go back after the holidays. Looking to build in the capricorn estate although the golf estate looks good also. I'd be very grateful for any info you have, Thanks,xx
  4. Red book is fine as long as everything is up to date. My daughters wasn't as i had misplaced it (found it now) so I just popped into the doctors surgery and they printed me off her immunisation record. They were fine about it.
  5. Hi, dysons are really expensive here. I bought a brand new dc40 animal for £200 in the UK, unpacked it and put it in the container. It's now out at sea on its merry way to us and should arrive at the end of may. I'm also a huge Henry fan and bought a new one of those too. So my container has ended up with 3 hoovers in it. The dyson, my new Henry and also my old Henry which I cleaned with a toothbrush and has come up like new. Bit of a Hoover obsessive!!! Sad, I know!
  6. Hi maddielou. I'm also flying out in just over 2 weeks time with my daughter and am so excited. my husband flew out 2 months ago with my son and I can't wait to see them. It's been so hard having our family split in half for this length of time but it was the only way we could do it. My husband had to start work beginning of feb and our son is high school age so it made sense for him to start the new school term. I had to stay behind to sort the house sale, shipping companies, the dog. its been really hard work on my own but happy to know I'm almost there. Luckily for us we have some great friends in perth who are letting us stay with them for as long as we need. i think with the excitement of seeing my husband and son has taken away some of the sadness I will feel at saying goodbye to my family here. 2 months is a long time and it feels like forever. However we both feel its made our relationship stronger than ever. good luck with it all. You'll get through it. You've just got to hang in there.
  7. Hi all. Never posted before but don't know how I would cope without this site. We too are in the same position. Our cocker was due to fly to perth on 29th April. However due to the closure of byford we have decided to fly him to Sydney instead. Not an easy decision but we felt at least he would be in he same country as us. His import permit has been amended and he is now booked to fly 29th April landing in Sydney on 1st may to start his quarantine which I've just had the invoice through for. Our pet shipping company have been fantastic sorting paperwork and keeping us informed however its stress we could really do without. I'm currently in the process of getting quotes to fly him back down to perth once his quarantine is up so will let you know how I get on.
