  1. Been out of the Visa loop for a while now with the in's and out's of things after getting my 190 and after some of your expertise. Wanting to know what is the process of getting a partner visa and also adding two kids on. We are in the Uk but the 190 is activated, you don't have to be living there to sponsor someone do you? Do the kids go on the same visa application as the partner or do you need to do the childrens visas seperate? Also has anyone here had the visa 100 granted without getting the 309 first?? Thanks
  2. Hey forum, flying to Perth Tuesday for a week to activate the visa. Anyone celebrating st davids day out there?
  3. With your skills test you will be able to get a supervised electrical license. From the you will need to do a year of gap training and filling out portfolio back to apprenticeship level. Companies seem reluctant to take on sparks with the license and prefer A grade sparks. Then the work seems plentiful, I'm in that situation now only on restricted (supervised) license yet still in UK at the moment
  4. Vetasses is the body that will do your skills assessment, are you aware there are two classifications of electrician? General electrician and special class electrician. The latter being a maintenance spark
  5. Stick at it mate, it's very stressful but it's all forgot about when you finally get the visa grant. Good luck
  6. The visa is easy enough if you have a straight forward case I.e no complications. Done my 190 myself and saved thousands with agent fees. Im a spark so give us a shout if you need any help
  7. Years? Tell him try 3-4 months if switched on with everything. Has he told you if you get made redundant on a 457 you have 6 weeks or so to find another company to sponsor you otherwise your back to the UK and money wasted. PR is the best for you doesn't have to be a 189 a 190 will do
  8. The 190 visa is not ranked by points unlike the 189, as long as you get the 55 points then 5 for state sponsorship your in
  9. Congratulations was there any mention of why the long wait you had?
  10. 1st - height, weight, asked to do urine sample. 2nd - wait for doc to ask you to undertake chest x ray. 3rd - called into main doctor. checks your eye sight, urine sample is then asked for and then checks over your body for joint movement etc.... 4th - wait for another doc to take blood from you for HIV. Your in and out and all done in 30 mins
  11. It's worth the wait as mad as it sounds. yes can't be far off for you now. Good luck
  12. Thanks jkm, no nothing lined up yet. Have you? Good luck
  13. Just want to say a big thank you to the online experts on here. Was in question about getting a agent when started off but learned quickly that any question needed answering, someone always had the answer. It's one painful and emotional journey but stick in there guys because the day you see your grant email it is all forgotten about and worth it. GOOD LUCK and see you in oz someday
  14. Yea no worries jkm, good luck. What state are you applying for?
