  1. hi, we had our acknowledgment e-mail today, plus a receipt for the first payment which has been paid, our app was lodged by them on 16th june around the date it was delivered and its that date that the application will be judged on.
  2. hi did you have to chase up getting an acknowledgement e-mail re submitting your visa apps, I see you submitted at the start of June, ours were signed for there end after being sent by registered post from Perth, they were signed for on 15th June.
  3. Hi, thanks for the post, we submitted our visas via our son, he posted them by courier from Perth to the visa office. They were signed for on June 15th so far we haven't had any acknowledgement and the 1st payment hasn't been taken yet, hopefully that will happen soon and we will be charged the amount that was showing in June 2014 prior to any price increases they may make this month. Not considered selling house yet but that may change, was looking at taking a new 2yr fixed rate that will considerably reduce monthly payment. PS we are both 50 , life begins now an all that lol
  4. no we are going to apply nxt cpl of days, how come you went for the 143 straight away, were going to apply for the 173 i think as that allows us to spread the cost, our son is a policeman over in mandurah and our first grandchild is due in Dec, we both want to move this year but cant because of these bloody visas lol
  5. hi thanks for the reply, were going to fill in the forms and apply nxt cpl days, think were going to go alone without an agent as the costs just keep adding up
  6. hi thanks for the reply, 12 mths plus is going to seem like a lifetime, our first grandchild is due in dec 2014, so it looks like a short holiday and then bk waiting on the visa app
  7. hi thanks for your reply , were in kidsgrove , were both planning to wrk in Aus so think the 173 is our best bet at first as that gives us 2 yrs to find our feet, where about in staffs are you from
  8. Hi, myself and Linda my wife are looking to apply for Contributory Parent visas within the next 2-3 months, we would love to hear from anyone who is doing likewise or has gone through the process and can offer any advice. We are looking at applying for the Temporary Subclass 173 visa first as that will give us 2 yrs to find our feet in Oz before applying for the expensive Subclass 143. Our son is a Police officer in Perth and recently married so they are willing to be our sponsor. We have so many questions and would appreciate any advice or chat with members of this very informative site. Thanks Paul & Linda
