  1. Both me and my boyfriend are travelling to Perth in November 18 on a working visa for 1 year. As well as working we also want to experience life in Perth and have the chance to explore and travel in our spare time. We both preferably want to do the same job so that we can still share the same experiences as well as being able to work similar hours. Our visa’s have already been accepted. Is there anywhere anyone would recommend looking for jobs? Or any jobs available for us both? Any advice on whether we should look before we fly or search whilst we are in Perth. Any help is greatful! Thankyou ?
  2. Hiya, we are Steve (UK) 39 and Amanda (Mexican, American and Brit - confusing story!) 31. No kids yet. Been in Perth / Hillarys for 4 months and looking to meet like minded people. Not sure where we fit in as most peeps are singletons or families! We are happy to engage with anyone who wants to engage with us! Steve enjoys (aka obsesses over) sport (UFC, F1, AFL, Rugby Union, cricket), he loves playing tennis, and is looking to join a casual rugby club (mostly for beers and banter). Amanda enjoys nerdy things like culture, lazy beaching and discovering new places around the area. She likes yoga, healthy lifestyle and then ruining all the hard work with a bottle of fizzy wine! She is also a massive Dockers fan. Happy to meet up as couples or just girls or boys. Amanda is especially keen on making some good friends here! Feeling isolated up in Hillarys at the moment but we both work in CBD so happy to meet there or anywhere in between.
  3. *** :embarressed:Apologies if this thread seems a bit ageist!!! ****** We are a young couple and we don't have any kids and are looking for others of a similar age / life stage who we can get to know, share our moving experiences with and socialise with, whether its drinking, shopping or enjoying the outdoor experiences Perth has on offer when we get there. We should be in Perth at the end of Jan or beginning of Feb all being well and want to make the move on a permanent basis to make Perth a real home. We think best way to do that (and to avoid getting homesick) is meeting new people and making the most of the lifestyle. I feel like we have a million things to sort out before we go and at the moment its all very exciting, stressful and scary at the same time! If you are in a similar situation (couples or singletons) and want to share your story or get to know us, we would love it if you got in touch!! Francesqa & Richard:cool:
  4. Hi there, we came to Australia last year on working holiday visas and have just been granted 4 years sponsorship! We recently moved to Secret Harbour and would just like to meet some new friends for going to the pub, having bbqs etc.! we're 25 & 27 and enjoy surfing, running, live music, going to the pub and just general socialising. It would be great to meet other young couples around the Secret Harbour area in a similar situation. Please get in touch, by pm . Cheers!
