  1. I have renewed my RRV (5 year) several times in the past, but on applying this time I noticed to be eligible, you need to have spent 2 of the past 5 years in Australia. I have been out of the country a lot in recent years, and I'm not sure if I have spent just under or over the required 730 days. I only have "arrived" stamps in my passport, no departure dates. Any advise on where I can find my departure dates?

    Health restrictions?

I'm considering studying in Perth for a year. I know I will need to get student health insurance, but I have a pre-existing condition. Does this mean I'm likely to be knocked-back when it comes to getting health insurance (and thus rejected for my visa application?). Thanks.
  3. http://www.gm-parent-visas.com/contributory-parent-visas-options-following-the-end-of-parent-and-aged-parent-visas/ Blog post on the visa choices for parents following the end of parent and aged parent visas for new applicants. Hopefully of help to some who are affected by the recent announcement. Best regards.
  4. Hello Everybody My name is Nicola and I am currently training to be a Nurse hoping to qualify in July 2012, and move to Adelaide by the summer of 2013. I will be 28 years old. However, I am a complete beginner when it comes to the emigration process and have no idea how or where to start. If anybody could help on where or how to start: visas, jobs, housing or any advice about anything emigrating in general. I would be very much appreciated. Kind Regards and I look forward to hearing from you. Nic x
  5. Hello Everybody........Hope everyone is well My name is Nicola and I am 26 years old from Surrey (originally from Hertfordshire), and I am currently in my 2nd year of studying to become a Nurse. When I was 18 (June 2003, 8 years ago): I was arrested and convicted of Theft and subslequently have a criminal record. When I was 24 I decided to sort my life out and train to be a Nurse, which I am thoroughly enjoying, with the hope of emigrating Down Under and am looking at Perth as it seems to be a good place for jobs and popular with Brits. I hope to qualify as a Nurse in July 2012 (27 years of age). My question is that: even though I will be a qualified Nurse (fingerscrossed) will my criminal record discount that out and I will I be granted entrance to Australia? Also, what do people know about Graduate Nursing Programmes, as I would like to go to Oz as soon after qualifying as possible. Thanks for reading and I look forward to receiving any advice given. Kind Regards Nicola (Nic)

I have been told that if he could get a sponsorship from a sacff company with could come over but not sure how ture this is and when Ihave spoken to migration agents, they have just said it's a no go. Does anyone know if there are any options available to us to come out as we really want to immigrate! Hope you can help Thanks
