  1. Hi all!. I'm Katie. 29 year old female from Yorkshire. I have just arrived in Perth from Melbourne and am looking to start temp work ASAP. As my working holiday visa allows me to work in the same position for 6 months at a time. My visa expires on 31st of July 2017. I have vast experience in office environments, also retail and hospitality. I was previously a PA/EA for a partnerships team in the Daily Mirror UK. I am ideally looking for an office assistant role, receptionist, secretary etc. I have applied for numerous temp agencies and am as of yet to hear back. I would welcome all help or advice on this, or if you know of anything (e.g. bar, cafe, pub, or any sort of temp work). I am currently living with relatives in Maddington and am wiling to travel for work. THANK YOU!

Help please - Where to begin?

For a couple of years now my husband and I have been thinking about moving to Perth. In the beginning he took an IELTS to top up his points and passed. To be honest life has just gotten in the way and we have plodded along with a daily routine, he works away a lot and we have little time to discuss our future plans or look into how to begin the process. I think life is just passing us by and I really want to seriously think about moving. Can anyone point me in the right direction, what do I need to do? My husband is ex-RAF, he is 42 and spent 23 years as a rigger/aircraft engineer, he is currently Production Manager for a UAV company. I am 39 and a Procurement Assistant for a large fashion retailer. We have 2 kids aged 9 and 13. I'm guessing State sponsorship might be the best route? Although I do have a step brother in Melbourne, would family sponsorship be another possibility? Please can anyone offer any advice of the best route to take? Thank you

    Jobs in TV

Now, I know this is a bit of a long shot...but, does anyone know how popular jobs in television are in Perth? I realise that Perth isn't exactly the media hub of Australia (I would think Sydney more likely!) but as a television production graduate and someone who has worked in the industry for the last 2 years I would like to at least try and aim for a career path close to what I am doing now, when we make the move to Oz!

  9. Hi there guys, my partner and I are just about to have our medicals and police checks are on their way, so, we should be in the Perth area in the near future, my question is this: my partner is a *highly* experienced website designer/online art director and I work as an IT tutor teaching the ICDL program for a voluntary sector charity working with people with addiction issues: could anyone shed any light as to the state of the job market in our respective skill areas? Any opinions and pointers will be most gratefully received. Many thanks Alan

A second question if you would indulge me: my partner is a highly experienced website designer/online art director and I work as an IT tutor teaching the ICDL program for a voluntary sector charity working with people with addiction issues: could anyone shed any light as to the state of the job market in our respective skill areas? Any opinions an pointers will be most gratefully received. Alan
