Help please - Where to begin?

For a couple of years now my husband and I have been thinking about moving to Perth. In the beginning he took an IELTS to top up his points and passed. To be honest life has just gotten in the way and we have plodded along with a daily routine, he works away a lot and we have little time to discuss our future plans or look into how to begin the process. I think life is just passing us by and I really want to seriously think about moving. Can anyone point me in the right direction, what do I need to do? My husband is ex-RAF, he is 42 and spent 23 years as a rigger/aircraft engineer, he is currently Production Manager for a UAV company. I am 39 and a Procurement Assistant for a large fashion retailer. We have 2 kids aged 9 and 13. I'm guessing State sponsorship might be the best route? Although I do have a step brother in Melbourne, would family sponsorship be another possibility? Please can anyone offer any advice of the best route to take? Thank you

  5. Hi, My wife and I have booked flights to come over in August to find a company willing to sponsor myself in IT. I have been looking into the job sites and there seems to be a lot of System Administrator/System Engineer jobs is this the actual case in Perth and do people give out Sponsorship while we are there? I have a solid IT background with MCSA and MCITP but wondering whether there will be job opportunities. I am hoping to have greater opportunities within IT and to grow my knowledge so fingers crossed.....If you have any tips please pass them on :-) Thanks Matt
  6. Hi All, My family and I are desperate to emigrate to Oz, me (32), husband (33) and two kids with a third on the way. (7 & 18 months). My husband is a spark and he has been since leaving school, are there any electrical contracting companies out there who are willing to sponsor people from the UK. The PR route seems so long and we would love to get over there sooner rather than later.

  8. Hi All, Just a quick query - I have been looking at regional sponsorship in WA. Am I correct in thinking that we would be able to live & work in the Mandurah area? I have read somewhere that regional sponsorship allows you to live & work out of the Perth Met area. I found a list of postcodes on one of the immigration website and this included Mandurah and surrounding subs but I just wondered if someone could clarify this for me. Also, when you apply for regional sponsorship do you have to state where you will live & work or can this be decided on later? Finally, my OH is a tiler so will not have 1 place of work (eg an office). He will travel around tiling both domestic and commercial properties. Does anyone know if this is ok as long as he only works in the postcode areas on the list and does not work in the Perth met area? Thanks Sue

I have been told that if he could get a sponsorship from a sacff company with could come over but not sure how ture this is and when Ihave spoken to migration agents, they have just said it's a no go.
