The fear factor

This may appear odd, but , like me does or has anyone else put off applying through fear of rejection and having their dreams shattered? I have wanted the move for many years but have only this last 6 month decided to do anything about it and now have my age against me! I seem to spend a lot of time putting all my evidence/documents together but still hold back! Please tell me I'm not alone in my craziness!

No, not for a moment.

I don't think you're crazy at all, I'm just completely the opposite, which comes with its own set of issues. I'll leap before looking every time and I have to say that it's worked around 80% of the time over the past 40 odd years.

I think I realised when I was very young that my parents were the play-it-safe kind and I saw them postpone decisions only to find they'd missed an opportunity time and again. As a result I'm completely random and reckless and this ride is awesome, I don't want to get off.

Sorry, not very reassuring, I know. I hope someone can be a little more supportive than me.

I can understand what you are saying.

Have you been to Perth? If you have and you really liked what you saw, that should be incentive enough to do what you need to do. Yes you will risk rejection, but if age is now against you, then take that as a good enough reason to act now!

Not many applications are rejected. If you can prove all points that you have claimed for IELTS and skills assessment completed and have clean character history and no medical issues, it is not likely that you will get rejected.

I havent seen many applications rejected - ones that have been have been due to error in EOI, not completed skills assessment or IELTS, or issues with work experience claims - trying to claim for pre-qualification work experience.

If you are worried - a Registered Migration Agent would be the person to put your mind at rest.
