fathead
HELLLLLPPPPPP! My tv is driving me nuts!! I've brought over my tv with built in digital and free view, it even has a setting for Australia! In our rental we have E-wire (cable) and I was told I could just plug a normal coaxle in and get the free channels without subscribing to e-wire or buying a box. When I've tried to do this and scan for channels I get nothing and it shows as I have a weak/or no signal. Does anyone know if I need something else? I need e-wire activated? Or is it my tele?? I also have a Foxtell point, I take it I can't just plug into this either?? Thanks in advance! Jon
fifi69
We were told that UK TVs had to be retuned to the German setting but in the end we Didnt bring any so wether this is the prob or not I don't know
PaulandDeb
We had an old portable we brought over it works lovely, did you plug into the fox socket instead of the normal aerial socket, most newer aerials work through the fox typed sockets now. portlaunay
We spent a small fortune on a swanky Loewe TV a few years ago (I have no idea why because we rarely watch it, although movies are awesome on it). I digress, there was no way we were going to leave it and despite also having built in Freeview we couldn't get that to work, we had to either buy a new freeview board from Loewe for the cost of a small family car or a cheap freeview box. Box option works fine.
Guest guest9824
Husband says is there an Aerial in the roof? We bought our Sony tv over and it's worked fine with a digital tv box, without that it wouldn't work.
Chardy
We have E-wire but have a plug in power booster for the distributor in the roof space so maybe you need one too although it should've been left by the last tenant/landlord, it needs to be in a particular socket not just any of them. No you can't use the Foxtel connections without a Foxtel box (like a Sky box).
