Road Trip - Western Australia leg

IKNWC but...

I've set foot in WA for the first time today, after a 4,500km drive (or thereabouts). Currently resting up tonight in Kununurra. Next destination unknown. DOH wants to crack onto Broome then we've gone coast to coast (and back again), although not sure me or the car is up to it

That's an epic journey. Pity you couldn't have done the few more kms to Perth lol.

I would love to do a journey with Bobj too. So jealous

Last few photos as we start heading East again tomorrow

3 photos below from 'The Grotto' near Wyndham. 140 steps cut into the rock take you down to the bottom. The signage says the water is up to 300ft deep!

Photo below is of the Prison Boab tree near Wyndham. Evidence indicates, in the 1890's it was used as a lockup for Aboriginal prisoners on their way to Wyndham for sentencing.

Great photo's Rob

I was surprised it was so green up here (especially as it's the dry at the moment), come the wet season, I imagine it's stunning (certainly not flat and brown:cute:) So many places we wanted to visit / things to do - Broome, the Bungle Bungles, a flight over Lake Argyle, visit to the Argyle Diamond mine, Halls Creek, Wolf Creek Crater to name just a few. Will have to wait till next time
