Hi, would be really grateful for any replies! We have finally submitted our 190 visa and are not sure what to do next. Do we wait for a CO to be arranged or do we now sort out our own meds and police checks? No treally sure but thought that it might save time. Has anyone else done it? If so is it only in Manchester ( northern England we can have our meds done??

]What does it say on your page when you log on? Ours told us to arrange meds so we did. We used Medimigration in Man,they were cheaper than Spire and were excellent. Our daughters results were uploaded to DIAC that day and ours were done over the weekend (Spire take over a week to do them)

HI, thanks for replying. Just checked again on the TRA page and it all says recomended now. Just goes to show, check before you post! Thanks for your quick reply. Now the fun begins to attach all these documents. We'll try to book into Medimigration too. Know it sounds silly but how do we go about getting police check done??

Thanks again

I think it's specifically for migration purposes as you have to state it on the app, and tell them where you're going. My OH works in the NHS and had to have an enhanced CRB check done for work but we still had to pay for this too.

I wouldn't be too worried about £45, it's cost us £7k so far although it shouldn't cost any more now!

Hi, thanks again! I know but trying to save as much money as we can! Have you moved over yet or are you still in the planning phase?

We decided to get the police checks done early and sent them off with the application. I have to say it was the wrong thing to do as the police check is only valid for 12 months. Our visa was granted in May this year and because we had the police check done last November, we only had til this November to validate our visa. we were planning on making the move in Jan 14 but had to change our plans - we are flying out on 23rd Oct. It only takes about a week so it wouldn't delay the visa process too much and will give you extra time if you need it. Good luck with everything.
