come on all you "perth poms" - what are you up to this weekend?

inspire all of us "soon-to-be Perth poms" what will we be getting up to when we have lovely sunny weekends to look forward to???

i think this weekend will be another de-cluttering operation in our house and the likely suspect is the garage loft...... (I'm going to try to be brave with the uk spiders in preparation for those huge monsters I will have to face out there......)

happy weekend all,

J x:cute:

Oh, you know, the usual; surf in the morning, BBQ picnic for lunch and a few beers with friends, some more surfing then light a fire on the beach, fish, catch prawns and cook them over the open fire while someone plays a jangly guitar. Sunday, pretty much the same but with more surfing, watch some footie, surf, BBQ, a few tinnies, surfing watch a glorious orange sunset then some moonlight surfing.

:wink::tongue:

Actually I'm trying to remember. I'm supposed to be doing something tomorrow morning but I can't remember what. It's killing me, I'm pretty sure it's important so if anyone has any idea what it is could you please let me know? Thanks.

Sunday morning will be meeting friends at the Sth Freo farmers market as usual - Vietnamese chicken roll and great coffee for me, pastries and hot choc for the kids then my son wants to go to a toy fair. In the afternoon I have a pile of ironing and two bathrooms to clean, exotic eh?

Doesnt sound very exciting but my three year who is obsessed with rubbish trucks is going to love it, today the local recycling centre is having an open day for kids, taking them on tours, showing them the trucks, having craft activities and a sausage sizzle, etc so we are going to pop down as its not too far from where we live.

tomorrow there is an arts and produce market in Trinity, with a whole bunch of free activities for kids like face painting, bouncy castles and camel rides. Also having a sausage sizzle and somehow hubby has a got a voucher for free hot dogs so guess thats lunch sorted!

just hoping the weather plays ball, getting very tired of the rain showers although yes i know its needed!!!

Hi J,

Pea soup morning here in the hills this morn, so I will probably be visiting kalamunda markets today as it's on. A quick trip to Midlando for some retail therapy, then tonight we are off to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Crown Casino. Sunday I am hoping the weather is a bit better and we will be out in the garden again, tidying, trimming bushes and weeding! Roast Lamb for tea! Lots of luck with the spiders, and decluttering, enjoy your weekend

Peax

Nothing exciting here.. after getting back from my 10,050km roadtrip yesterday, I've got the delights of unpacking the 4wd which will probably take forever:ssign19:

...maybe unpacking some hitchhiker critters too.....

Yes, tamala park near Mindarie. Everything was free, so awesome, free sausage sizzle, veggie option too, free soft drinks, free craft activities, free facepainting, free magic bubble man, free pot plant making, some music, and free pens, pencils, rulers and notepads all made from recycled stuff.

in the uk, people would never go to the dump for a day out, here, it was packed and so much fun!!

the sun has even come out for us, yay!

I am going to work!! How fantastic is that, its just like work in the UK except you have to drive slower to get there and back, its warmer, and you are in the worlds most remote city so there are no spare parts to fix anything until someone sends them from the East Coast, who are 2 hours ahead of you and generally all in bed when you need them most.

Apart from that its going to be great....Right now i'm opening beer getting ready for all the live footie matches that you dont get in the Uk.
