My sister and family has emigrated to Perth Oz and I miss them so much. I want to emigrate too but I've been a single Mum and don't have any formal qualifications that would get me into Oz. I currently have a clerical job but what I'd like to know is, does anyone know whats the easiest/quickest and relevant job I can re-train in to get a visa? I'll consider anything!!

Thanks in advance

There is no quick route. As Ali says, skills can come off the list any time, so it is a risk that you spend some years training only to find it is no longer on the list. Most of the medical roles are the most likely to stay on the list, but there not the sort of roles you should go into unless you are genuinly passionate about it.

Do you have enough money to go on a student visa and train for a wanted profession in Australia. A friend of mine did this when her sister moved to Oz but it was a number of years ago now.

There is now no direct pathway from a student visa to PR. Most students find they have to leave once the course is finished.

No idea because as VS rightly says the lists can change at any time but what about the police but widen the scope to see if, as well as the force, any support staff are classed as specialists and are on the current lists. You do not state your age and/or what qualifications you currently have, both of which will have some relevance in all of this as they are linked to timescales and opportunity to gain any prior learning creditations.
