Nikkis2000
Hi everyone, Just wondered how all of you that have been through this process already have coped with the last few weeks before you departed? For me it is really dragging and I feel that life is just on hold! We were super organised in the early stages so really don't have much left to do. We sold our house and moved into rented a couple of months ago, so apart from the last minute packing of stuff we use on a day to day basis, there's nothing left to sort out. Container is booked, cats quarantine and shipping is sorted, we might even have a rental sorted so can't even distract myself with a bit of house hunting! Work is worse than ever and I really cannot wait to get out, so not enjoying my last few weeks there either! I'm aware that I don't want to wish our last few weeks away and that I should be enjoying it but I really really just want to be there now and getting my new life started. On the plus side our "farewell tour" restarts this weekend, so between now and the week before Xmas we have no spare weekends and some serious partying to do - so perhaps those quiet weeknights will be a blessing in disguise! Lou8670
I can't believe how quickly things are coming around. Enjoy your last two weeks in the UK and the run-up to Christmas; it'll fly by and before you know it you'll be in sunny Perth. Lou

Judilc
Hey, I was feeling the same way. Our date to move was going to be on NYE until last thurs when hubby's company finished project early and started deployments (we are in Saudi) so we decided rather than sit here twiddling our thumbs till school year completes we should just get on and move! Hubby doesn't have to work whilst on notice period and daughter is 5 so a few weeks off school isn't going to do much harm? SO we have packed line maniacs since making this desicion on Saturday and we fly on THURSDAY!!!!!!!! So skipped those last weeks of brooding and now in full on panic mode! Good luck and keep us posted! Jenpen- I can say with absolute certainty that I will be drinking far too much in the coming weeks!!
