bugsyburrell
Finally on route to Heathrow, one way tickets booked, tired being an understatement and feeling mixed emotions?? We thought it would be easy by not having much direct family around but even saying goodbyes to the neighbours has proved to be testing!! For those who have left close family behind, we take our hats off to you and hope we have your strength to see this through. Now on the upside, we're flying to Sydney first for five days where we will probably just sleep for the entire time?

Big thanks to all the help and advice from the pp folk, I'm sure we'll need some more over the coming months? Now we gotta work out if it's worth sending the kids back to school for a month??? Walkabout
Hi Bugsy, congrats on your arrival in Perth! Where abouts are you staying? with regards to schools, we were advised that if we knew where we were going to be etc then it may well be worth sending the kids in as they could meet some people and possibly then have some friends over the holiday period, made sense to me, but we have yet to secure a rental so will have to wait a while yet! good luck with it all and hope you are enjoying the weather! bugsyburrell
Hi Weston's, we're currently in Waikiki for three weeks but looking for a longer let around Baldivis, whereabouts are you guys? I think I'm in agreement as our eldest is due to start secondary, so I think it will also give her a chance to meet a few new friends before she starts, how old are yours?? Walkabout
Hi, We are currently staying in Duncraig, mine are only little 3, 5 and 7, but I think my eldest at least would really benefit from making some friends!

I'd definitely get them into school sooner rather than later. It'll give them a chance to make a few friends and you to get some boring but important stuff done. We were in Waikiki a couple of weeks ago so keep me updated on how you get on and where you settle! can't wait to get back out there
