ali
Putting aside the big move/return or anything to do with migration ..... I know it's hard but try for one moment lol ... I was wondering what else you had on your radar for 2014? For us, Hubby and I will be celebrating our big birthdays - not 100% sure what the celebration will be, but i'm sure it might involve some bubbles (of the wine ... not washing up liquid variety lol). Any things you're looking forward to?
Guest guest9824
Endowments will mature next year with a few bonuses attached, nice nest egg, even though we were tempted to cash in a while back, glad we didn't...so maybe a trip to Singapore, I want to stay on Sentosa Island :biggrin:Shangri la....Big daughter went to Singas last year and loved it! An 18th birthday to plan and celebrate and an 80th birthday to possibly attend...but that would mean a trip back to the Uk in winter! We loved Singapore - visited Sentosa twice - but for us being in the centre and near Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay was better - beautiful place
Guest guest9824
Yep still not sure where to stay, like the look of Sentosa, but wondered about Orchard Road too or maybe Marina Bay? Will look at Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay too. Who did you fly with Ali? We are looking at Scoot...

Lou8670
Can't really think of anything else other than a big move in 2014 at the moment! Would love OH to be able to go to World Masters in Canada and friends asked us to go skiing but I doubt either will be possible.
Chardy
Our second Australia Day and moving into our freshly built house for starters, auntie and uncle visiting in April/may then the rest if the family over for Christmas 2014
Nikkis2000
My parents live in North Yorkshire and the Tour de France is literally going past their front door. I'm going to see how quickly we get settled, if we get jobs etc but IF I can afford it there may be a quick trip back, even though we'll have been over there less than 6 months! Guest guest10912
My OH is 40 in March and we are going to Bora Bora, I have booked a water bungalow at the Four Seasons so this will be pretty special. Towards the end of the year, we will finally start a house hunt. (Also citizenship hopefully by the middle / end of the year ... sorry Ali)

Guest guest10912
sounds amazing! I've looked but always found the flights a bit of a logistical nightmare... How are you doing it? Yes it is a long trip. I booked flights to Papeete through Qantas, the first leg is Qantas flight to Auckland and then it is Air Tahiti share code to Papeete. We decided to take a stop over in Papeete both directions to make the connection to Bora Bora a bit less stressful.

First time at the Hard Rock Hotel, second time at the Festive hotel. Quite like the look of the Equarius Hotel if we went back again (was just being built last time we went). I really wanted to go back for the TDF, had even sorted accommodation out, but in the end, couldn't justify the cost really (not when there's 5 of us). Will maybe have to settle for a slightly less glamorous trip to Adelaide for the Tour Down Under.
Admin
For 2014, I really want to lean a language. So if :xmas11:fetches me Rosetta Stone Japanese or Arabic this Christmas, then we're good to go.
