Lou8670
Everywhere I look I see signs telling to make the next step...move to Oz. The BA office window says "There's nothing like Australia", I look up at the tv on the cafe and the Australian score is on the screen, I open my wardrobe and a bag is folded so only the letters AUS are visible...it is just me or does this happen to everyone when they are thinking of migrating? beandownunder
funny you should say that Lou, Darcie said to me the other day the signs are everywhere she looks and she echoed what I'd just been thinking! I wonder if we we're emigrating to Canada we would just notice Canadian things more? hmmm J x

lozzachino
On our last weekend before we left the uk, we met a friend in Oxford. After taking a couple of shortcuts through the town we turned down a side street that met George st, one of the main road in oxford. Pasted across a wall directly opposit us on George St was the biggest poster i have seen that said 'there's nothing like an Aussie adventure' i took that as a pretty big sign! Its now my cover photo on facebook!!!
Candygirl
Ha Ha how funny. Yeah, seems to happen to everyone. I do think a lot of it is subconscious, but also you are tuned in to everything Australia. We could not miss anything that was on the TV to do with Oz in the early stages. Even our family and friends would hear something about Oz and be on the phone/email, have you seen or heard this. It is even more hilarious when other people do it on your behalf. Levi
Nope, can't see the signs from where I live. IELTS is trying to say 'stay put', even though my English is very good. I'd call what you're "seeing" (aka what your brain "is seeing everywhere") coincidence.
Akasully2
The signs are everywhere, even if I make them myself. I keep a tea towel saying "i love australia" on my cooker, makes me smile! I also have a carrier bag that I got from Sydney Airport with an Ozzy logo. I can't bear to throw it out, I've kept it in my car boot. It cheers me up every time I open it to get my work bag out of it! Saying that though, my son has just come back from a school trip to the Tower of London with a fancy carrier bag that he got in the gift shop. It has a very lovely design on it saying, "tower of london'" and now I am keeping that one because it will look fab when we are in Oz! Candygirl
Subconscious or things meant to be, no matter what. Just keep doing what you are doing to keep yourself going when things get tough during the waiting game.
Lou8670
One for today...a sign buried in a shop window display just keeps jumping our at me..."if opportunity knocks build a door". I think I should buy it and hang it up in our new home in Perth
Nikkis2000
I love it when I see the Australia Tourism advert on the TV. Although its mainly shots of Sydney and the Barrier Reef etc I always have a little smile to myself.
