JenPen
Hello again!! I just wondered on the SOL list next to Carpenter in the notes section it says "schedule 2" Above it has this written "A limited number of nominations are also available for applicants with Schedule 2 (off list) occupations on the WA skilled migration occupation list." Now I am pretty intelligent but when it comes to all this migration jargon and rules etc I just would like someone to explain to me like a 2 year what this means? Thank you

beandownunder
"the schedule 2 criteria are that you have to have a job to go to for 12 months, so if your occupation is on the sol for 189 then that is the best option" quoted from nikkiwd posted n poms in oz xxx google it xxx
sunflower
http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/SiteCollectionDocuments/120912%20UPDATED%20state_sponsorship_criteria_2012_2013.pdf Hi Jenpen, list 2 applicants need a job offer or must currently be working in the state. This is what I understand from the info above.

Thank you Don't confuse the state sponsorship list with the SOL, they are completely different things. I think it is the state sponsorship list you are looking at and unfortunately this is not good news. Do you have enough points for the 189 visa? JenPen
My understanding is that he can no longer apply for SS?? Is that right? I was looking here Rupert: http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/skilledmigration/Pages/Occupationsindemand.aspx We only have enough points if he does REALLY well in the IELTS - however, I do not mean to put him down at all but English really isn't his forte but I know he will work hard so it could happen… we will see! Yes that is the sponsorship list, it isn't the SOL. Was just mentioning it as if you do have a lot of questions still on the process, it is good to be clear about what you are referring to, but it is by the by... Realistically, your chances of a WA state sponsored visa are probably very slim now as you would need to find a job. But you could look into other states if you wanted to or the 189 visa. beandownunder
Jen, why not apply under your job? you are definitely on the sol j x
JenPen
Jen,why not apply under your job? you are definitely on the sol j x Because it would mean waiting much longer and we want to go now Hahahaha very impatient!! I do not qualify until September, I am going to apply for MW Grad Prog but there isn't a great chance that I will get it unless a PR or an ozzie so if Mr JP gets the Visa on his merit then I will have a better chance of getting a job immediately. IF it fails we will wait until 2015 when I have 2 yrs experience here (their preference for foreigners!) and go then. But I would rather go ASAP so our daughter can be settled, she has had a lot of upheaval over last few yrs and we want to plant our roots Thanks though lovely, so sweet of you to point it out hope you are getting on ok? JenPen
Thanks my dear! I wouldn't worry too much about the email, I am sure she is busy etc I would love to go to Perth for a few weeks in July as part of my training but the hospitals are very hard to get in and no one seems to want us here….Sydney and Melbourne would be easy to do but I want to come to Perth! Oh well, must keep trying and eventually the hard work will pay off xx
Derbygirl42
Hello I have a query on this as well. Am hoping to emigrate on a 489FS visa but just noticed that next to plastere it now says schedule 2 so does this mean that my husband has to have a job as well to go to? His occupation plasterer is on the sol list however just don't think he will get the points need on the ielts test hence going down the 489FS route. Any advice really greatly received!!!
