portlaunay
There have been a number of people saying how it doesn't yet feel like Christmas, particularly for those recent arrivals who may be struggling with the concept of Christmas in the sun. It's a little early for us but we have decided to tackle the deco's this weekend so come on all, give us some inspiration and show us your tree... If you're not sure how to attach images this guide should set you straight; http://www.perthpoms.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_attachments
nicolac34
It is just me or do people put their trees up really early here? I thought it was the whole '12 days of Christmas' thing, 6 days before and 6 days afterwards. I've had about 10 friends post photos of their tree on facebook since the 1st of December! Maverick
Might be cheating slightly because its my mums tree back home, but she's put so much money and effort into it that it would be rude not to share it.

I always thought the 12 days begin after Christmas day, the the 12 days end with Epiphany? We're putting ours up to try to bring some cheer to the kids and get into the spirit a little bit but yes, it is very early for us, we'd usually only put them up a couple of days before or even Christmas Eve. Bibbs
I thought the same as you Port. The 12 days start on the 25th .. We don't have a tree. No decorations either. Bliss.
Akasully2
The tree is being properly decorated tonight but I have taken a few shots of other bits thatI have just done. The wreath on the front looks so welcoming, the angel inside the hall welcomes everyone too and the heart is one a made last year and stuffed it with lavender. Got it out the box this year and is still smells wonderful.
Akasully2
Definitely 12 days after the 25/12. Just looked on a advent calendar issued by the church. If anyone knows, it's going to be them!
Redsquare
This came with us from the UK. It's an advent tree, each of the 24 little drawers contains a different decoration.
CharliePappa
Speaking of Christmas decorations, they were hand painting baubles in the Rockingham centre last week, looked really nice as well.

Nikkis2000
After a long debate we decided to go with artificial this year. I really wanted real, as we do most years but I came to the conclusion that getting rid of it would be one more job to fit in before we leave. That - and knowing my luck that one pine needle would find its way into the container.....!
stu4668
I would like to decorate a palm tree with White LED rope lighting around the trunk and green LED fairy lights up the branches. Hopefully next year when I'm there I will be able to do this

Elfie there is a place in the Swan Valley that sells rooted pine trees - not quite Norwegian Spruce but look OK. They are on the Gt Northern Highway on the left leaving Midland and after Houghtons Winery. They were up and running last year but I haven't been out that way for a while... sorry don't know the name.
