Daniel Cruickshanks
Very 1st post, so be kind guys, I passed my vetasess back in March last year and I've been to busy with work ect to submit a visa, but here it goes, I'm just gonna go on the 489 visa, which I'm doing myself, but I have asked people who I know on Facebook in Perth where's best to live, also to find work as a gap year sparky, they struggle to answer as they don't work in my kind of work. in my line of work,I work a lot on airports, mainly for cargo companies, on installs of conveyors and uld systems, so a lot mechanical as well, I can do welding, but I stick to electrics, lol I don't enjoy it. In electrics I do all sorts from power to lighting, motors, ect... Now I'm not really fussed about where and what I do. I'm just after knowing where's best to find work as an electrician either domestic, commercial or industrial, tho I do believe I will have to work supervised for 12 months, which I'm more than happy about. Be good to be honest. As it will be abit stress free being someone's labourer for a while (if he/she goes easy on me lol) post comments below let me know what you reckon. Much obliged. Many thanks Danny
jojo1310
Hi Daniel, I see you've already passed your vetassess, so congratulations! Have yu considered the Working Holiday Visa? My bf and I did it in 2011 and if you stay for over 2 years I think you can gain residency that way??

Daniel Cruickshanks
Thanks guys, I'm in the process of the 489 visa, had an email stating "The Government of Western Australia would like to invite you to apply for State Nomination." So I have 28 days to fill in a online test, about Western Australia. Also asking how much money we will will be taking, they say we need $35.000, which is around 16 k, so best carrying on working and saving as the visa will cost short of 4k. I've already had a WH Visa, back in 2009 2010, also I'm 31 now;-( Many thanks guys
Daniel Cruickshanks
Reason for the 489 is I've not got 8 years post qualified experience, one year short of that, I could do the English test but if I fail its 140 quid down the drain, I'd rather spend that on a new golf club lol, anyways I'm more than happy to stay in a certain postcode for a couple of years, beats living in Burnley haha:-) will miss the football tho :-(. Just thought I'd add this to my comment above Cheerio
