portlaunay
Well mrs p's work gave us a season pass for Christmas so we're going to head there tomorrow. I know, school holidays, it will be rammed and all that but has anyone been? Any tips on what to take or do? Anyone been on Abyss and if so, what was it like? Anyone over 40 been on Abyss and if so are you still being treated for PTSD?
verystormy
We went last summer and it was great. We didn't do any of the roller coaster things as we had more fun. We had an amazing time and plan to go back. We dont have kids and a whale of a time. The only advice I would give is to go on a hot day! Oh, and take a rashy and sun screen, thongs and take your own water - there were long ques for water. We will be going again this summer
Adjutant
If you have young kids then Dragons Kingdom is a great place to go. Lots of rides and pools for wee ones. We will be there in a couple of days.
portlaunay
That was fun. Got there at 0945 and the pass holders queue was pretty long already. It's a lot smaller than I thought but we still didn't do everything, bailed out at half four and just got home with two very tired children. I'd have been a bit miffed if I'd paid full price for entry because compared to other places around the world AW is expensive for what it is. Thought the food was reasonably priced though and all the staff were pretty helpful and friendly. I'd recommend it and if you're close a season pass is the way to go. Lou8670
Forgive my ignorance, but what's a rashy please?? Debs You're forgiven debs as it's short for a surfer rash vest...it provides protection against the sun and the rash you'll get from spending all day on your tummy on your surf board x
