jen140977
Hi all, my first time on this site, so please be patient!! We are a family of 4 applying for 189. CO has been assigned, medicals booked for 6 jan and awaiting police checks. We are trying to actually decide where we want to relocate to. (we have never been to Oz, so any thoughts welcome) We have 2 kids, age 8 and 10 so good schools are important. We are thinking south of the river?? but really would welcome any advice. Thanks, J:err:
Lancelot1937
Suggest that you rent first to give yourself chance to look around. What work do you do? Where do you live now?
jen140977
Currently in North Wales. I am a social worker. We intend to rent initially and I really don't mind travelling up to an hour to work, so long as the kids are happy in school.
verystormy
The things to do are to look at where you might be working. Also work out budgets as suburbs can vary a lot price wise.

Thanks, J:err: As Very Stormy says budgets can determine a lot over here so if you like I can send you an exenditure budget sheet that should be able to help you work things out in that respect. If you want a copy just send me an e-mail address via a Private Message. (Top left, second menu bar.)
Sal
If good schools are your priority then look in the catchment areas of the best government high schools - Western suburbs - Shenton College NOR Churchlands, Duncraig, SOR Rossmoyne, Leeming, Willeton. However no point living in e.g Leeming and finding work in Two Rocks! Work has really got to be your guide.

Thanks Think the original poster is still in North Wales, not Perth, so maybe you two guys can catch up and help each other through the early stages of the process?
