Anyone doing anything special tonight?

We have been thinking about going to the fireworks at mandurah, but decided not to. So, instead I have just come back from shopping and will meet my wife for a drink in a couple of hours at Cobblers Tavern at Falcon for a cocktail or three. Then back to ours and I am going to make a special dinner. Whole snapper Asian style with home made spicy noodles and a cucumber chili salad. Washed down with copious amounts of pisco sour and egg nog.

room for three more VS? Sounds lovely.

Think we will have a mosey down to the local park and have a gander at the bush Dance there, then home for a game of Perth Monopoly me thinks (lightweights we are)! Best wishes for 2014

We too were thinking of going to Mandurah for the fireworks, but now been invited to a friends house. What's Cobblers like verystormy? We went past the other day on our way to Cafe Coast and it looked very busy, but had the kids with us, so didn't go in. Do you reckon it's child friendly in the day, not little kids, 14 and 11? Happy NYE all!

Spent most of the day baking with the kids. My son made Snickerdoodles which he thought were so lovely he made a second batch (they're like baked cinnamon doughnuts), and my daughter made sugar and salted peanut biscuits.

Going to do a Thai green curry tonight, drink some fizz then sit outside, tuck into a bottle of Ron Zacapa and smoke one of my HDM's when the kids are in bed. Probably won't see midnight.

Tomorrow we have a houseful. Invited 20+ kids so I'll need to stay sober.

Going to a nice little local restaurant beside the beach - The Pickled Fig. There is a set menu which sounds lovely. They also have some musicians playing. Should be a nice night. Was going to go into one of the restaurants or pubs in Freo but though better of fighting through the crowds that are bound to be out and about.

Mind you Verstormy's is also sounding a pretty good place to be tonight!

Good luck tomorrow Port 20 plus kids is a good effort

Well....Cobblers menu looks good but the drinks are appalling.

Our place was looking good till the rental holiday home arrived - 20 guys in their early twenties armed with enough booze to be regarded a national chemical weapon. Oh and they have apparently decided to hire a bunch of the local mandurah "working girls". So that is my night sorted - wrongly!

On the plus, the pisco sour is amazing to the point I surprised I can still type- long live my wife's brother the famous Peruvian chef

What about you Rob?

well at home with some cocktails, tequila based to start, lots of fizz in the bar fridge and home made pizzas in the BBQ oven

probably monopoly like peanuts but don't have the Perth edition yet

Might be asleep by midnight

Whats your pisco sour recipe?

I've tried pisco, sugar syrup, lime juice and Angostura bitters very good

Cheers dude, it will be a very casual affair so no drama's. The Wii is set up in the garage for the kids, swing ball and hammock in the yard

Well we're up in Kalbarri, so far today we've been to Natures Window, absolutely stunning, and tonight we're going to Finlay's BBQ for fish and chips, then down to the beach to watch the last sunset of 2013, then just a few drinks to see in the new yr if we're still awake!!

That sounds bloomin marvellous. Have a great time

That does not sound good but the cocktails should ease the pain.

My pisco sour includes egg white somewhere along the way too. Sod you lot, I thought I had my evening sorted and now all I want is a pisco sour! I wonder if BWS has any….

Takeaway for tea (yours sounds much nicer VS!) followed by drinks and nibbles round a friends house, will probably come home before midnight to get the kids in bed, then perhaps more drinks to see in the new year if we're still awake, a lovely bottle of veuve clicquot sent to us by my brother for Christmas

Happy new year everyone on PP, may 2014 be filled with much fun and laughter for all!

Having Friends round ours for a take away curry, plenty of banter, all washed down with loads of beer, wine, cocktails and champagne. Candles and tea lights dotted all around the place. Lovely!

Children having a nerf gun fight upstairs until they settle down for a DVD. By this time the adults will probably be playing 'buzz' on the wii. New year will be celebrated by getting the cigars out and lots of kisses on cheeks.

Wishing all my PP pals a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year. Xxx

Happy new year everyone. The pisco was good enough to stop me noticing the noise

Happy new year VS. I must say the Bush Dance was awesome at our park, then the lovely Scottish Piper came at 8.00pm and piped in the New Year (12 midnight Tuvalu time) then Auld Langsign was sung and danced to (always a tear shed when I hear that). An early night for us and quite a lot less alcohol consumed than in previous years, nevertheless very enjoyable...happy new year to all!
