Candygirl
Happy New Year to you All! I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction please? We have just purchased a new car. The dealer has paid for the Rego. This expires in Sept 2014. It is 600 odd Dollars and $240 odd of it is for third party insurance. I have already got full Comp insurance on the vehicle for the next year. When I come to renew the Rego in Sept, will I need to also pay the third party insurance bit of $240 odd again? This seems as though I will be paying for insurance twice. I appreciate that it is my choice to have Fully Comp, but surely I have got this wrong? Redsquare
Hi You'll need to pay the liability insurance on the rego. The rego covers personal injury, your car insurance covers the property liability.
