verystormy
I am afraid this is not good news. Firstly, it has always been close to impossible for construction trades to get sponsorship as most are self employed and as a result not eligible for sponsorship. But, the bigger issue is that sponsorship still requires the occupation to be on either the SOL or CSOL lists. If it's not on either of them then you can not be sponsored. What does your girlfriend do?
verystormy
I may have some good news. I believe bricklayer is on the CSOL. That means it needs either state or company sponsorship but is possible. Now, company, as I mentioned is not going to happen. But south Australia is still offering state sponsorship for it. I recommend you speak to an agent.
