Yep there has already been a big thread on here about this programme. Format a lot of quiche  What about this house? Nah dinnae like it, this one, eye better and this one, the most expensive in the best area shown, aye that's the one for me but I cannae afford it!! Don't worry there are plenty of jobs out here and you double your salary. Oh good then Perth is definately for us  Some pretty pictures though I guess for those needing their Perth fix

I enjoy Wanted Down Under but I HATE the part where they show family and friends. Of course seeing footage of your grandparents/parents/best friends/sisters/aunts crying and saying they miss you is going to make you upset. It's so annoying! I understand why they do it, to get people to realise it's a long way from home and these are the people you'll leave behind! But...it annoys me. And the format points that Straightothepoint pointed out!!

Oh yes don't get me wrong I think the logistics of it all and the poorly formatted program is all hideous and I could shout at the TV and often make comments under my breath BUT this is part of my procrastination….my obsession with moving….looking at anything Australia related to prevent me doing any REAL work….It is my guilty pleasure ;)

I must stop though as I need to do work to pass these exams to pass this degree to enable us to emigrate!

well today in Adelaide it needed phil in the first one , it was filthy and more dishes in the sink than I make in a week and a filthy dishcloth hanging ,not much better in the others . The perth one I agree it was all over the place but did not show us much . this new series is enough to put you off.

LOL....Yes we laughed at that.....but then I thought that will probably happen to us.....rent a house in Mandurah and then land a job in Joondalup !!! Watch this space !!!!!

In all honesty, if you lived near the railway station in Mandurah, hopped on board and got off in Joondalup to work close to the station there it is probably less of a door to door commute, in terms of time, than for some people travelling by car from say near Baldivis (south) or near Trinity (north) into the city by car at peak times. Just calculate it out. And the time on the train could be less stresfful and more productive, reading or working. I know a lot of folk think it sounds daft, and many would not want to do it, but when you think about it...... And if needs must.....

I know someone who lives in Margaret river and works here in Freo. He commutes every day with most days, door to door, taking less than two hours. He does do it by helicopter though and did tell me that it's not that unusual. Jandakot airport is apparently very busy at rush hour.

Oh Hi there!! We would like to come on your show and if you could help us look at houses in the Perth area with a budget of £500k that would be great….

Yeah sure no problem, here are 3 wonderful houses….none that are within budget and the final one, which we knew you would fall in love with is nearly £200k over budget!!

WTH?

But what a lovely family and didn't he love his wife and the children/adults really were so nice.I hope they join PP and hope they eventually move over.

I think they now show that they could afford that dearer house if the job was there. And it is nice to see not all the samey properties. But alot of houses have that "wall"

and no views .

What always surprises me is everyone wants the outdoor lifestyle but when they do the day out bit nobody is enjoying the outside lifestyle only the people from the show??

Yes I guess you are right as they always end up being able to afford the houses that are more expensive. Oh yes a wonderful family, such kind, loving and supportive of each other. I hope they join PP too and they should move to OZ I reckon it would be fab for them. It is difficult with families but IF they stay in UK all 3 children could move to 3 different areas of the world….then they might regret not doing it. So so difficult.

I still love it though :cute:
