kirsty81
Firstly, happy new year to everyone!!! As I have stated in previous thread I am not using an agent, I am hoping I am doing the correct thing. I lodged my visa on the 11th December, received our police check and medical is tomorrow. I have uploaded too many documents, can I delete any? Do I get appointed a case officer at this stage or once I submit my application? Finally, must I await my medical report before I submit? Thank you Kirsty
beandownunder
sorry for being thick but what are you waiting to submit? am a bit confused, you say you've lodged - is that an expression of interest? we lodged our Eoi, were invited to apply, lodged visa application, got CO who requested our meds and pcc-which are just being uploaded now. I guess if you've uploaded too many docs they will just ignore the ones that don't apply. we have also done it all without an agent but with the expert advice of kind folks on here :-) good luck ,Bean x
nikkiwd
you lodge your visa application once you fill out all the pages of questions. once this is done you are just logging back in and attaching supporting documents, the visa has already been lodged. when your case officer takes on the case he can see what has been attached and will request any additional documents so if you have no room to attach more just wait to be allocated a case officer and they will make contact with you. You can then ask about where to put the extra documents. I could see we were going to have too many when I did it so I started to put multiple documents onto each pdf file...for example all the evidence from one job was on just one pdf file therefore just one attachment. unfortunately I only found I could do this after already uploading 40+ individual attachments:wacko:
Cossy_Family
Hello We got our 189 granted in November are have been in wa doing our mini big one for five weeks! its awesome, The medicals will be uploaded by the medical centre, rather than see the medicals the writing at the end of the medical tab will change to read this person does not require a medical (words to that effect). The other docs you want to upload will have to wait until the CO contacts you, Nikki is correct you in how you can zip multiple files together to prevent the problem you have had but it is to late for you. Not to Worry!!! when the CO contact you via email you can immediately attach the docs you have missed sending (as long as the CO has asked for them!! they my be happy with what you have already sent in most areas). its not that big a prob just a small delay as the CO may not get back to your file as quick as you like. Hope this helps Andrew PS look up mellup beach its worth the trip down south and then pop down to Hamlin bay as we did today and see the wild stingrays x20+ that go up and down the beach about three feet from shore their awesome. kirsty81
Thanks everyone for your help. I think I just worry unnecessarily. I lodged my visa on the 11th Dec and as I have not received a case officer was worried I had done something incorrect. You are selling the lifestyle even more Andrew and sounds as though you are having a great time. Enjoy your travels!! kirsty
nikkiwd
the wait for a case officer to be allocated is up to 10 weeks (for 189) after submitting so don't panic.
