lozzachino
Hi all, looking to switch from telstra to iinet, but iinet dont provide a modem. will my telstra one work with iinet? I have two from telstra, the first was for use with velocity, then when we moved they said it wouldnt work here so they sent us a new one for adsl2. If they wont work, which modem will? The one they sell is $200 and im not spending that! thanks
Arwen
Should do, my iinet one which was free when I joined stopped working. I just went to Officeworks and bought another one and plugged it in. Had no problems.

lozzachino
Telstra modem works, yay! but because we dont have a bigpond connection anymore our telstra tv box doesnt work anymore! Still gets tv but no tv guide so cant add anything to the recording planner! Dont get free tv on foxtel, its so annoying! Couldnt believe it when we plugged the foxtel in and no free tv! So we now have a foxtel box, a telstra box that doesnt quite work, a dvd player and a hard drive with movies, all plugged into the tv! Far too complicated! never thought i would say it but i really miss Sky!! Edited March 16, 2014 by lozzachino Spelling

SJT
Lozzachino I so agree with you. Foxtel here is rubbish but much more expensive than Sky, we have just cancelled our Foxtel as we were paying for a service we don't use. Watching TV is now complicated as we have the free TV which gets annoying because of the soooo many adverts, Netflix through the Playstation and films or programs hubby can download on a memory stick. Good point is that we have just started watching the series on Netflix and just watched the first series of Breaking Bad which we enjoyed. We have our internet through TPG, and their modem that came with it, which we had to pay for was rubbish, we kept loosing signal and when you have three kids on their playstations it was not going so good, so we just brought a modem from Officeworks and have no problems since.
