Things are moving along

Hi Folks

 

Joined the site a few weeks back and finding it very good. Myself and my husband and 2 sons are hoping to move out in the future. I was planning on going down route of a sponsored visa (457) but have decided to hold out for a in dependant skilled (189) on the advice of many people. Things are moving along well at the moment, I have received my positive skills assessment for my profession of Podiatrist and I am sitting my IELTS soon to help increase my points further. We were out on holiday visiting relatives over Xmas and New year and loved Perth.

 

 

Still very early days but we are all very excited about the whole thing as well as being rather stressed with the amount of work and documentation required as things move on.

 

 

As I have mentioned I am a podiatrist and have 15 years experience of working in The NHS in Scotland but I am unsure of the job prospects in Perth. I seem to find there is substantially less Podiatry jobs advertised in Perth than other areas in Australia. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of my profession out there in Perth that can advise me.

 

Any advice at all would be much appreciated.

I wonder if there are less jobs for podiatrists because people look after their feet better by walking bare foot on the beach. At this point JKLMc you will probably tell me your job has nothing to do with feet....maybe technical support for iPods?!

Akasully2 no iPods just feet in my job!! You could have a point about people of Perth looking after their feet too!! I also think it may be due to a younger population too.
