I heard of someone shipping maple syrup over once. You would need to declare it on the form the shipping company give you. Alcohol they charge tax on. Shampoo fine but in sealed plastic storage boxes so no nasty leaks. There is an official gov site at customs I think, that tells you in detail what you can and can't bring in.
