Hi there, hope all goes well with your impending journey. Might be worth keeping an eye out on the forum for future arranged meetups on the socialising thread. Lots of meetups are organised by many people on here, both north and south of the river, so perhaps next time you are on the forum you could arrange to go along once you are here. Bear in mind it will be the start of Winter here, the weather will still be nice, but maybe not as many meetups organised at that time of year. Best of luck.

Family meet up 29 June - Pirate Park, Applecross Hi all A few of us are planning to meet up at the end of June at Heathcote Park in Applecross, also locally known as the Pirate Park as there is a huge pirate ship for the kids. It's a free park with fantastic 180 degree views of the river and CBD, there's a museum, parking, BBQ area, toilets, benches and a great little cafe serving coffees, ice-creams and fish and chips. I would suggest meeting at 11:30am on Sunday 29 June unless everyone prefers a different date/time. I believe the nearest train station is not far at Canning Bridge. Here's a partial pic of the kids play area...it's much bigger than this and is enough to keep the under 12's occupied for a good few hours - See more at: http://www.perthpoms.com/forum/socialising-get-togethers/15756-family-meet-up-29-june-pirate-park-applecross.html#sthash.dvYdA17w.dpuf

Hi Ana, we'll be there. I'm Lou, I'll be there with hubby and 3 kids who'll probably be the loudest charging around the pirate ship! We'll try and grab a table outside the cafe. It's not huge so you should be able to find us
