Guest Stevenmulchinock
Hi guys, I'm new to this website and looking for advice. I am currently in the uk and signing up with many career websites looking for a job in perth. I'm 31 and I'm a parts interpreter with over 10 years experience within the industry with a vast knowledge of truck commercial and agricultural vehicles. I have applied for many jobs and getting good responses about my resume but the stumbling block is the visa as I think company's don't want to deal with the process of visas. Really what hat I masking is if anyone knows of company's with this industry that could point me in the right direction. I have age family and friends that live in perth aswell. Can people just go out hoping to find work? As I haven't got any ties here in the uk and a few friends that live there now have done so and are now sponsored. Any advice would be much appreciated. verystormy
Your first point of call is the SOL and CSOL lists. These are the two lists of occupations that you need to match in order to qualify for a visa. If it is on one, then you have the first stage. (there are a number of steps) if not you can not gain a visa - sponsored or otherwise. Normally sponsored company visas are a last resort as they are usually a temp visa. It may be worth speaking to a good registered migration agent such as Go Matilda to see if you qualify for any visas.
