Guest rai2826
Hi All, I have been reading posts here and wanted some advice. I applied my VISA 190 on 12th Feb 2014. Booked my Medical and result got submitted. Done my PCC and submitted the result online along with Form 80 and Pay summaries and all documents. I did not hear from them anything so rang DIAC yesterday to find out that CO was allocated on 26 March. Can someone tell me how many days will it take to process it or when CO is allocated don't they contact us ???
aligard
Hi rai, We didn't have a form 80 so not sure about that.....no CO contacted us and it was roughly 2 weeks after we had lodged everything that we had our visa granted....afraid its a waiting game....but you will get that e-mail one day soon
Guest rai2826
Thanks Aligard I think now the wait time was more so for me the CO allocation took time Don't know when it will be completed but as you suggested I think wait is the only option I can take. nikkiwd
your case officer will usually only contact you if they need any other documents but there seem to be a few people waiting for visas just now on here, after receiving emails about possible delays with visa grants. I can't remember the thread but the user who posted it was Jorje.

Can someone tell me how many days will it take to process it or when CO is allocated don't they contact us ??? I have copied below the same response I posted on Jorje's post 'delay in visa granted'. Hope it helps..... I emailed my CO after learning that they are only allocating a certain amount of visas until end June. He replied with the following..... Unfortunately your case is affected by the limits that you’ve spotted on the website. As planning levels affect all applications, including those in the final stages of processing, I cannot give you an indication as to the likely timeframe for finalisation of your application. Please be assured that I will progress your application as soon as possible. At this stage, there are no further documents required. I will, of course, let you know if anything comes up. Thank you for your patience. .......... From February 2014, the Skilled Regional Sponsored GSM category has a limited number of visa places remaining. The remaining places will be allocated in line with the priority processing arrangements. Further information is available on the department’s website. See: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...ssing-srs.html ......Basically they have a set allocation of visas to grant per year and from February this year they only have so many spaces available. I'm in the same situation as you. It's so frustrating. It could be granted next week but then could be July or later. I've put the house on the market and am planning on going out September but won't be going anywhere without the visa grant.

Sbca
Hi all, we are in same situation, we got a mail from our CO's today, saying more delay..bcoz 2013-14 SMG quota nearly finish. We launched online application on 20th Feb.2014, we did medical b4 Co's allocation. We got Co's on on 3rd April, requested PCC only, we have some delays for getting PCC from UK, bcoz of holidays, but submitted on 7th May 2014. Yesterday contacted the CO's, we got the above reply, anyone have the same situation, please let me know..really worried... The visa for which you have applied is part of the Skilled Nominated category. The Migration Programme determines the maximum number of visas that can be granted in each visa category. Applications for this visa are processed in line with Migration Programme planning levels. These planning levels have precedence over indicative client service standard timeframes. The Migration Programme planning level for the Skilled Nominated category now has limited number of places left for the 2013-14 program year. This means processing times will be longer and that once the remaining places are used, the Department cannot grant further visas in this category during this programme year. As planning levels affect all applications, including those in the final stages of processing, I cannot give you an indication as to the likely timeframe for finalisation of your application. In the meantime, I encourage you to continue checking the department’s website (www.immi.gov.au) for any updates regarding application processing or changes to the Skilled Migration Programme which may affect you. I appreciate your patience in this matter Edited May 17, 2014 by portlaunay Name removed

Said that it was unlikely my visa would be granted prior to end of June (their year end) but did say it was 'likely' to be granted by end July as they try to process the visas that have been carried over first. Hope this makes sense.

It looks pretty clear, if they reach planning levels they reach planning levels and there will be a small freeze until 1st July. There is no point worrying about something that you can do nothing about. It is also really not on to post your COs name on an internet site. How would you like to find some random has posted your name on an internet forum. Edited May 17, 2014 by portlaunay Name removed

I HOPE SOMEBODY CAN HELP We weren't ANMAC but our assessing authority assessed my hubby's skills as being equivalent to a degree so we lodged it as a degree. I remember wondering the same thing but we decided that if his qualifications had been assessed as degree equivalent it would be fine. Sbca
hi, in your case, the Immi people will only consider the exp. from letter of determination from Skill assessing authority, better you have to contact TRA agency for adding the additional exp. b4 submitting the EOI.
