Piscine75
Hi all My partner has a company car as part of his remuneration package. He recently handed in his notice and his boss is really making his life difficult ever since. He recently dropped in his compAny car to a main dealer to get its second service. He got it done last year at 17 km, however he stupidly forgot to check if the dealer had stamped the book. Now the garage are saying that the car never got its first service and there is over 3k repairs needed as a result. He dropped off car last year just came back that evening to collect it and assumed it was serviced as nobody from the garage told him anything to the contrary. His boss flipped and is accusing him of never getting the service done last year and unfortunately he has no way in proving it as he did not pay for the service and the company have no trace of payment either . His boss has now emailed him saying he is revoking his right to use the company vehicle effective immediately does anyone have advice or could anyone recommend where to go to get advice as new to oz? thanks in advance
aligard
Hi, Find it hard to believe that someone doesn't have a record of any payment. They wouldn't have done the service for nothing. Did you get a courtesy car to drive while your car was in for service ? If so can you remember the car and what the procedure was on the day of service. Can you remember the date and time you took the car in ? Can you remember who you dealt with when you had the car serviced ? Can you remember how you made the booking for the service if by phone do you have mobile phone bill as proof of the call ? If someone picked the car up do you have any witnesses at the time of pick up and drop off ? No doubt you've thought of all of theses things.....but hope it helps. Good luck
Give me a break!
Sounds like the car was never serviced which Is why there is no payment. Fair work Australia is where he should go to get advice.
