British Bucket List

So I have done 12 of the things on the list, no sure how many more I could do. Always fancied Wimbledon but never been able to justify time off work to go- teachers already get bad enough press but literally short of a strike day no chance - these have never been held over Wimbledon sadly imo :D

I think i had ten, to some degree, like i have been to wimbledon but didnt see a Brit play on our court. Also been to stonehenge but not at midsummer sunrise.

We got our tickets in the ballot and managed to get tickets allocated on a Saturday! It was my birthday as well so I always wonder if the ticket person did it on purpose :)

Hopefully they did, that would be lovely! - my friend goes every year & has promised me year on year he would take me. It never panned out though, useless creature. Think it was because I was too easy going about it and he always had a queue of louder people wanting in on his allocation. Now next time I won't be here! I hope so done does a WA bucket list we can all start planning towards! That would be fab. A 100 things to do get there..... a 100,000 things to do before I can get there!

Oh my god, that's so typically Daily Fail. One foot firmly in the past. (Even 'Ask Jeeves' ceased to exist at least five years ago )

How does that represent contemporary Britain, it's hardly embracing multiculturalism is it? Eat at a Gordon Ramsey restaurant? Are they serious? Why? Where's "Eat a Balti in Birmingham"? or "Visit the (magnificent) Neasden Temple"?

I know, its a pretty crap list

like you I can think of so many other things that should be on a list like that

guess it's aimed at the standard daily mail reader with little imagination

We have our 'Europe' bucket list... it is such an amazing place with so many different cultures... we just want to see most of it because we know it won't be as easy and we'll probably focus on visiting Oz for the years ahead. Going to Paris this week. Really would like to go to Amsterdam and Greece. We've been to Normandy and most of Italy (our favourite country)... we need to go to Sicily now to finish Italy off.

:cute:

I had about ten, but thought it was a stupid list. Stonehenge is worth a visit any time of the year, not just the longest day and Wimbledon is an experience whether or not you see a British player. I thought others were just really trivial.

Before we left, this time and the first time, I wanted to go to Alton Towers and stay at Cliveden (did both).
