SaffanZimbo
Well our neighbours and friends think we are mad as we BBQ (our braai as we call it) throughout the year. Tomorrow is no exception. Heavy rain forecast and we have 10-15 friends and family members coming over for a late afternoon BBQ. OH (a little anti-social at best) is a little miffed as he will get to stand outdoors to do the BBQ whilst I entertain our guests in the conservatory! .... and to add to the day we have our eldest daughters birthday party from 2-4pm so 25+ 7 year olds in our local community hall! The only consolation is that I have saved all the sugary food for the party bags which go home with each child rather than have any consumed at the party I can't wait to be in Perth so that we can BBQ without having to retreat indoors due to the cold / rain! verystormy
Lol. You might not be so keen May to August. Dont forget, Perth has almost twice the rainfall of London. But gets it all in a few months
verystormy
Though many modern houses have huge al fresco areas - ours has enough to seat about 20 plus the BBQ
ali
It does get cold in winter and we have a fire pit and a heater for sitting outside. Some houses you rent may not have covered areas outside - but you will be able to BBQ for most of the year.

Druid
We braai all year round, come rain or shine, it's doesn't get that cold or wet in the winter, bit like a British summer, except here we have a covered patio to keep us out of the rain
