Well it's a long weekend here as we had Anzac day yesterday, so a lot of people would have gone to ceremonies yesterday - about 40,000 turned up for the dawn service in Kings Park.

Tonight I'm going seeing Michael Buble - never seen him before and going with friends for dinner then the show. Tomorrow, I'm off to Bunbury to watch my son play football

Got boring old food shopping to do, then might have a run to Hillary's, then maybe out for dinner, tomorrow we're heading to Claremont Showgrounds for the Vintage Polka Dot Markets. For those of you in Perth it's well worth it, even my 16 yr old daughter enjoyed it. It brings back a lot of happy memories spotting toys etc from my child hood. It's on today and tomorrow, it costs $6 to get in. They have homemade crafts to, ideal for picking up gifts etc if you have any birthdays coming up, or preparing early for Xmas, also it's Mothers Day here on May 11th. Oh and waiting for some of the rain they keep promising us, not much so far!!

Whatever your doing hope it's a good one :))

Got the kids up at 4.45 yesterday and walked up the hill with Freo to the memorial. Stood in silence for an hour or so, watched the sun burn off the cloud and thought of old friends, new friends and a great many incredible people.

Today was tidy up day so we all mucked in and then had tea while watching The Great Escape. Tonight we were at the nib to watch Western Force beat the Bulls.

Tomorrow is the school busy bee and then I plan to cook a spiced pot roast with a mountain of creamy mash.

Claremont is close to the city. To get there would be a bout 45 mins by car, or by public transport about 40 mins on the train to the city then a short bus ride. Check out the Transperth web site for train and bus times.

What sort of things do you want to do?

Not really sure at the moment would love to go to the wineries, don't want to spent too much money until we know OH as a job.But we want to explore this lovely place.

We have a car for two weeks so we want to have a good look at the areas to see if Rockingham is where we want to settle

Continuing the house decluttering after a manic week of social stuff..... Onto my waldrobe today - not really enjoying it and have stopped three times for a coffee and a Perth Poms hit so far this morning!

I managed that one last weekend, and then I did the kids wardrobes, house is feeling lighter already lol. I have the lounge storage to sort out this weekend, and it seems a perfect time whilst it pours with rain

Sounds great. I remember getting up early as a kid for the ANZAC parades, and as I grew older became part of them, mind you living in South Hedland at the time.

Well, there are some closer than you think. There are a couple not for from Rockingham and some in Mandurah. A nice run out is head to mandurah and turn onto Pinjarra road and head towards Pinjarra. Follow the sign for the heritage centre and have a wonder round there - lots to see and nice cafe for a cheap lunch. Then, coming back up Pinjarra road, you will see the sign for the winery. You can also eat here, but more expensive. Then, a bit further on closer to Mandurah on the right you will see the sign for the chocolate factory and miniture village. The chocolate is wonderful, if a tad expensive. The also do amazying deserts and cakes
