LugubriousDuncan
We arrived last August and have until now had a great time. Today the last of our visitors left for the UK and for us it was a killer as our two lads( 22 and 20 ) were such fantastic company . Really thinking about going back. verystormy
It is hard when that happens, but you also have to remember that your lads are now adults and in the not to distant future they are probably going to be married and things and the reality is they wont be around that much anyway. You have done your bit and raised them, now it is time to be where you want. They can always come and visit and you can visit them and in my experience you will get more quality time with them that way than you would if you were back in the UK. My wife is very close to some of her family and she has had more quality time with her family in the 6 years of being here than we would if we were back in the UK. She will be going for a visit next month and spend a couple of weeks with her brother. If we had been in the UK we might have spent a couple of weekends a year with him

Sounds like just some post visit blues. Don't make any rash decisions at the moment.
Rossmoyne
We arrived last August and have until now had a great time. Today the last of our visitors left for the UK and for us it was a killer as our two lads( 22 and 20 ) were such fantastic company . Really thinking about going back. Don't make any rash decisions at the moment as it is just how we all feel when our beloved family and friends get back on that big jetliner. I still feel like this after 23 years here when my best friend leaves after her month with us.... I now try to have a project lined up to get stuck into when she leaves as I find it keeps my mind occupied until sense prevails again. And Stormy is so right - I have found that you have much more quality time with family and friends when you visit each other than if you lived in the same town, country etc. Hang on - keep positive...
